Our company was founded by AJ Smith, whose passion for earthmoving began as a young boy, when his grandfather, Leo Smith Sr., introduced him to the art of excavation. His grandfather, a WWII Veteran and P.O.W., returned from the war and after raising a family, found a new calling in land development, creating landscapes that would nurture generations to come.
Those formative days, learning at his grandfather's side, planted a seed that would grow throughout his youth. In 1998, AJ began transforming land into new possibilities, carrying forward his grandfather's vision for the future. As opportunities grew, AJ hired Mike Rowley and expanded operations, building RCS Excavation on a heritage of integrity, vision and grit.
